Hand-carved, stoneware container. Comment to win!
Full time artist Erin Kay Spangler’s work focuses on the dramatic contrast between beautiful organic forms found in nature and the unique industrial sleekness found in vintage watches. Spangler rolls her sleeves up to get elbow deep in clay! Her hand carved functional pottery includes elegant and detailed bowls, mugs, lanterns and more. Because nothing can hold this artist back Spangler has also begun to create Steam Punk jewelry.
Recently Miss Spangler’s father in-law gave her free range of his vintage watches and watch parts, which turned her on to creating upcycled Steam Punk jewelry. One reason Miss Chatty thinks Spangler is the bomb is because of her matured experimentation! Her finished projects range from earrings that are delicate, but look like they could still power a small engine, and sturdy coffee mugs with ornate hand carved patterns. Spangler’s influence comes from her quaint enviornment: a rural farm in Fairmount, Georgia where she lives and works. She will be sharing her space with Denise Burke who is into the details! Burke makes brightly colored jewelry and has thrown tiny pieces on her potter’s wheel.

Steampunk!
Luckily, lovelies, Erin is graciously giving away one of her 4×3.5, lidded containers! The stoneware clay that Miss Spangler uses is sturdy, functional and intricately hand-carved. Comment below to win!
